Comisión FX (Comisión por Transacción Extranjera)
Comisión que cobra tu banco por usar la tarjeta en el extranjero — normalmente el 1,5%–2,5% de la transacción.
Diferencial (Spread)
La diferencia entre el tipo de cambio interbancario y el que te aplica tu banco — normalmente el 0,5%–2%.
Comisión de Cajero (ATM)
Comisiones de tu banco y del cajero extranjero — combinadas pueden alcanzar 3–5 € por extracción.
DCC Markup
Cargo adicional cuando pagas en tu moneda local — suele estar entre el 3%–10% por encima del tipo real.
¿Qué es el DCC y por qué debes evitarlo?
DCC = Dynamic Currency Conversion
Esto ocurre cuando un comercio o cajero te ofrece cobrar en tu moneda local en lugar de en la moneda del país. Parece conveniente, pero el tipo de cambio lo fija el comercio — y suele ser un 3%–10% peor que el tipo real.
